Anime Review: Space Patrol Luluco

Over the past several years, with the rising popularity of anime simulcasts and the ever-increasing number of streaming sites at our fingertips, many varieties of anime that may not have made it to Western audiences even half a decade ago are now available to us.  One of these varieties which has garnered a bit of an uneven reputation is the short-form anime.   Continue reading “Anime Review: Space Patrol Luluco”

Bungou Stray Dogs E12//Final Review: I Goofed

Bungou Stray Dogs has been one of those shows that I can complain about relentlessly for any number of reasons, and yet, when the simulcast rolls around each week, I still find myself enjoying it perhaps rather more than it deserves. Continue reading “Bungou Stray Dogs E12//Final Review: I Goofed”

Bungou Stray Dogs E11: The Fluff is Strong With This One

I alluded in my catch-up post for Bungou Stray Dogs to its penchant for interspersing scenes of violent bloodshed with buoyant comic relief from its eccentric cast. Well, after the brutal events of the past several episodes, I was figuring that it was about time for a comic relief episode, and sure enough that’s exactly what we got. Spring 2016 Catch-up: Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

Hey there everyone, seiyuuki here with the long-promised catch-up post for Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. But before I jump into it, I first ought to apologize for the delay on this post – I’ve had a bit less time to catch up on the Spring 2016 series than I thought I would, and on top of that, I made the awful mistake of starting to play Life is Strange last Friday (if you’ve played it, you’ll know why it was a mistake – it’s impossible to put down). So that killed off what little productivity I would have had the past couple of days. But late is better than never, and I do remain committed to catching up on the remaining series on my schedule as soon as I possibly can, hopefully by the end of this weekend. Continue reading “Spring 2016 Catch-up: Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress”

Attack on Zombie? A Tale of Apples and Oranges

Hey there! So, I know this is not the promised catch-up post on Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress (though I promise I am working on it!), but I didn’t want to wait too much longer before addressing the comparisons between Kabaneri and a certain anime about Titans that we all know and love. Continue reading “Attack on Zombie? A Tale of Apples and Oranges”

Spring 2016 Catch-up: Bungou Stray Dogs

Hey there! As I type this, I have just finished catching up on one of my more anticipated shows this season, Bungou Stray Dogs, and let me tell you, it’s been quite a ride so far. This is going to be a pretty long post, as we have 10 episodes worth of stuff to talk about, so let’s get right to it! Continue reading “Spring 2016 Catch-up: Bungou Stray Dogs”

Spring Catch-up Schedule!

Hey there! So, in my welcome post, I stated that I would kick off this blog by catching up on a few shows from the current season that I really wanted to watch and write about, but alas, I neglected to mention which shows those would be! Well, that’s what I’m about to do right here, right now, baby. Let’s go! Continue reading “Spring Catch-up Schedule!”

Hey there! My name is Damian, but I go by seiyuuki around these parts. Welcome to my anime blog, The Sketch Dynamic! You know, because animation is a series of pictures that…move…yeah, you get it. Anyway, I just wanted to type up an introductory post to tell you a little about what you can expect from this blog, some ideas I have about where I want to take it in the future, and a little bit about the things that motivated me to start writing about anime. Sound good? Cool. Continue reading “Welcome!”
